It’s a response to a recent change in settings in the artist's life and is meant to provide a fun and relaxing experience for people traveling through their own journey.

This piece, 'Free,' is quite popular. We believe this location is perfect for 'Free.' Adam Walls has generously donated this piece to the City of Oxford and its residents. With many compliments received, this piece represents freedom, whether it is mental, physical, or emotional. It is highly symbolic of a need for release from different points in our lives.

Concetta M. Wilson: Elementary

Elementary is a return to the fundamentals of sculpture, imbued with profound religious significance. This sculpture serves as an example of my vision for our reality, which is one that is based on a deeper spiritual connection in a world that is becoming more and more dangerous and complacent. The three barrels comprising the sculpture symbolize the holy "Trinity," underscoring humanity's gradual drift from its initial devotion to Jesus Christ. The vibrant colors, drawn from elements we often overlook in our daily lives, serve as poignant reminders. Orange signifies the consuming force of fire, blue embodies the cleansing embrace of water, yellow radiates the life-giving warmth of the sun, green grounds us in the nurturing embrace of the earth, and red alludes to the alarming reality of our planet's escalating temperatures. "Elementary" encapsulates the essence of our essential needs and the ramifications of straying from a simpler, more sustainable path. It echoes the wisdom that "life is simple; we choose to make it complicated.

Mr. Hughes is based out of Vance County and has been welding since he was 15. He has recently retired after 34 years and is combining his passions of welding and art.

Jim Gallucci: Flutter Crown Archway

Flutter Crown Archway by Jim Gallucci is a four-decade sculpture that transcends traditional art boundaries. The piece celebrates life's diverse pathways and the symbolism of archways as portals to new beginnings. The fluttering elements within the archway evoke a sense of movement, symbolizing the dynamic nature of our journeys. The archway holds special significance as it represents our entrances into various paths we choose in life, each representing an opportunity, choice, or transition. The name "Flutter" alludes to the sense of motion and vitality, while "Crown" symbolizes the significance and majesty of the archway. "Flutter Crown Archway" is not just a sculpture; it is a profound reflection of the human experience, inviting viewers to contemplate their own life journeys, choices, and transitions.
