Program
Welcome to the Historic Downtown Oxford Vibrancy Grant Program, a unique opportunity for building owners and tenants within the Municipal Service District (MSD) of Historic Downtown Oxford.Â
This program has been designed to encourage downtown business owners to activate their storefronts through the addition of creative and unique elements that will enhance their business and downtown Oxford. Our goal is to maintain the aesthetic appeal that leaves a positive and lasting impression on all who visit.
Purposes
Administered by OxForward's Design Committee, the Vibrancy Grant serves several essential purposes:
Renovation & Enhancement
Encouraging downtown business owners to activate their storefronts.
Design Projects
Supporting the addition of creative and unique elements such as planters or outdoor seating.
Preservation
Safeguarding the unique character of Downtown Oxford.
Longevity
Increasing the sustainability and lifespan of the buildings within Downtown Oxford.
Requirements
To be eligible for this program, certain requirements must be met:
Location
Owners or tenants must be situated within the Downtown District, as defined by the MSD map.
Permission
Building owners or tenants may apply for incentive grants. Tenants must have the owner's written permission included in the application, along with an agreement to maintain the work covered by the grant if the tenant vacates the property.
Eligibility
Projects must be visible from the public right-of-way. Top priority will be given to projects that will make a highly visible contribution to the commercial district.
